Health is Wealth 💪🏼 My Key Ingredient For Success In 2024
Anything physical or mental health related and I’m in!
I’ve long had an interest in psychology and anything fitness, diet & wellness related because I firmly believe looking after yourself all round is so important to our lives and being the very best versions of ourselves and handling anything that life throes at us!
You need to feel good not just look good!
Beautifying yourself externally is great but if you're not doing the inner work both emotionally and nutritionally it's a waste of time.
(Btw there's a huge correlation and lots of studies showing how our gut health impacts our mental health and well-being, look out for the blog on this coming soon!)
With the new year underway most of us start making resolutions to be better in our lives and a lot of the time this is centred around fitness and exercise - probably because we feel lethargic and heavier from all the Christmas over indulging.
We come up with these crazy diet and exercise routines and before the end of January we’ve failed to stick with them!
Hands up if you’ve been there and done that 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
The reason why this happens is because we don’t choose sustainable plans.
Working out for 3 hours a day, 7 days a week and only eating salad 🥗 is just not sustainable long term and you end up burning out, you then get disappointed because you can’t keep up with your diet and exercise, get so discouraged and then just give up. It's easier not to do something than to admit failure!
I’ve done this so many times!!
What you need is a sustainable routine. Consistency is key for success.
Little and often is better than sporadic bursts of intensity or nothing at all!
It’s far more manageable to stay on track with the pace and fit around our current hectic lifestyles.
If I can get the same results doing half the work then I’m totally down for that 💁🏻♀️
Consistency is my favourite thing! In everything I do, work, diet, exercise, skincare etc, because consistency brings results!
It’s also a skill that takes practice and discipline 💪🏼 I’ll post my top tips for how to get consistent and what has worked for me in another post soon.
So don’t give up on your dreams this year, if something doesn’t work then adjust your mind and your expectations and stay positive, focused and consistent and you’ll get those results soon.
I hope you have had a great first week of 2024.
Much love 🫶🏼
